About Us

Philosophy is the foundation of critical thinking and intellectual curiosity. It challenges individuals to question assumptions, consider different viewpoints, and develop well-reasoned arguments. By engaging with philosophy, one can enhance their analytical skills, improve their writing, and prepare for future academic pursuits in any field.

With an aim to nurture excellence right from high school, we come together to create a space for exploration, articulation, and a culmination of research-based writing. Philosophize Direct is a peer-reviewed pre-college journal by The Philosophy Times. It strives to empower high school and undergraduate students with an enriched platform to engage in and spark meaningful discussions by publishing their philosophical explorations.

By promoting clear and rigorous writing, we help students develop their ability to express complex ideas and arguments. The emphasis is on the importance of research and evidence-based writing, guiding students to support their philosophical inquiries with thorough research and critical analysis.

We publish a wide array of philosophical content, ranging from research articles, essays, book reviews and commentaries. Our journal covers various branches of philosophy, including ethics, metaphysics, epistemology, and political philosophy, among others. Each issue aims to highlight the diverse perspectives and voices of young scholars, encouraging them to think deeply and articulate their ideas effectively. Philosophize Direct publishes biannually. The work by students is accepted on a rolling basis and will be considered for the next issue of the journal.
